Definition: “We”, “Brash Developments Ltd”, “Photo Expert” and “Camera Super Heroes” can and will be used interchangeably to describe the legal entity Brash Developments Ltd. Brash Developments Ltd. is a giant corporation employing darn near twenty people. These Camera Super Heroes have been in business since 1976.

Listings on our website are invitations. That is... you are invited to make an offer to purchase goods and services. The listings are not offers to sell.  So if you see a $12,000.00 Canilux II mis-priced at only $9.99 - we are not obligated to sell at that price. This policy protects us from pricing changes made at 3:00 in the morning after a 17 hour shift. Your order will be accepted only if and when we, the folks at Photo Expert, send a shipping notice email to your email address. At that point, we have gratefully accepted your order and a legally binding contract for the sale has been created.

Note - we will only bill you for the products you buy and the shipping as stated. No mysterious handling fees. If you get trigger happy and place an order that you want to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. No promises but we may be able to cancel the order. If it has shipped already we may require you to follow our return procedures. If you want to cancel an order, phone 604-591-8833 or email info@photoexpert.com. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Privacy Policy

At Photo Expert we value our privacy and we value yours too. Following is our explanation of our privacy policies.

Information we gather is limited to what is required to process a sale. We ask for name, home address, email address, phone number and credit card information. We will never ask for your shoe size. Furthermore, we will never use the gathered information for anything but the intended transaction. We’ve been in business since 1976 so we’ve earned a lot of trust over the years.

If you make the effort - you may sign up for our twelve annual newsletters. Our email list is purely voluntary and we do not share information with other companies or entities. If you wish to be removed from our email list, there is an easy unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter we send.

Nifty High Tech Security Information

The security of your personal information is obviously important. We maintain modern security standards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

SSL Technology

Our Web Sites use encryption technology, such as Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”), to protect your personal information during data transport. SSL encrypts ordering information such as your name, address, and credit card number.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with one of our products, you may return it within 7 days as long as:

1.) the product and packaging are in their original condition - including, but not limited to, accessories, warranty cards, batteries and manuals.

2.) The product is not a special order. If you order an obscure battery only used in a 1972 Yashica - we will not take it back. Even if your Yashica turns out to be broken.

If you have taken the camera to a salty, sandy beach for a ten day vacation - we won’t be taking it back. We’re pretty easy to deal with on the whole. Our goal is to make our customers happy and earn a living. So far, so good.

If you wish to make a return by mail. Please enclose your original invoice and order information and the item, in original condition, to:

If the item has been dropped, from three floors up, during transit and damaged, we will not be held responsible. Again, if the courier of choice damages the return, we are not liable. It may a good idea to ship the product with insurance. Canada Post provides low insurance rates.

Shipping charges are not refundable unless we goofed. If the shipping charges are a result of our error, then we will sheepishly refund the charges and apologize.

When your shiny new stuff arrives - please check its condition right away. Any shortage or damage must be reported within 10 days of delivery. Defective merchandise may be replaced with a like item upon return of the defective merchandise.

Any information you provide through our Website, including payment information (credit card numbers and expiry dates) and information on the transaction must be valid, accurate and up to date. Scammers will be frowned upon and possibly cause the use of bad language. Photo Expert relies on the information you provide. You will be held solely responsible for any loss, damage and additional costs that you, Photo Expert, or any other person may incur for providing false, inaccurate or incomplete information, or for not updating information regarding your payment within thirty (30) days of making a change of any kind.
